SafeTelecom Terms of Service and Warranty Policy
1. Product Warranty and Software Upgrades
1.1. SafeTelecom will provide complimentary software servicing (relating to our KosherOS modifications) and software upgrades for every phone sold on our website for a period of 18 months after purchase of the device.
1.2. After 18 months from the purchase date, an extended service contract is required. Please see the "Extended Service Contract" section for more information about extending your coverage.
1.3. SafeTelecom will only cover software repairs and updates for the 18 month period after the purchase date. This policy does not cover any hardware, external damage or manufacturer's defects.
1.4. The determination of eligibility and qualification is at the sole discretion of SafeTelecom.
2. Extended Service Contract
2.1. SafeTelecom offers an extended service contract to extend the original warranty coverage and software update period. The extended service contract does not include any additional benefits not included in the original service agreement.
2.2. The extended service contract will be billed at a rate of $75 USD per additional year of service and update coverage.
3. What's Covered
3.1. SafeTelecom is committed to providing software service for instances when a customer's phone will not power on properly and gets stuck on the "booting screen". In such an instance, the customer will receive complimentary service for data recovery and SafeTelecom will ensure that the phone will resume normal function. Please note: Any shipping fees associated with returning items for service to SafeTelecom are the sole responsibility of the customer.
3.2. SafeTelecom is committed to providing timely software updates specifically to apps in the "Banking" category and to WhatsApp. All other apps will only be updated periodically at SafeTelecom's sole discretion.
3.3. SafeTelecom is committed to providing periodic KosherOS full-system updates. These updates have no set schedule and will be offered to the customer at SafeTelecom's sole discretion.
4. What's Not Covered
4.1. The SafeTelecom warranty does not cover any damage resulting from water and/or moisture damage. Additionally, the warranty does not cover any damage to the phone case, screen glass, or any other physical damage to the phone.
4.2. Damage which occurs due to having the phone serviced by a third party, nulls and voids the warranty from SafeTelecom.
5. KosherOS by SafeTelecom Reseller Warranty Policy
5.1. Coverage
5.1.1. KosherOS by SafeTelecom is an authorized reseller of products manufactured by various brands. All products sold by KosherOS by SafeTelecom are covered by the original manufacturer's warranty.
5.1.2. The duration and terms of the warranty are as specified by the original manufacturer for each product.
5.1.3. KosherOS by SafeTelecom does not offer any additional or extended warranty beyond what is provided by the manufacturer.
5.2. Warranty Claims Process
5.2.1. All warranty claims must be processed through the original manufacturer's warranty service.
5.2.2. Customers are required to contact KosherOS by SafeTelecom within 48 hours of receiving the product if any defects are noticed upon initial use.
5.2.3. For warranty claims after the initial 48-hour period, customers should:
- a. Visit the manufacturer's official warranty service website.
- b. Follow the manufacturer's process for initiating a warranty claim.
5.2.4. KosherOS by SafeTelecom will provide necessary purchase information to support valid warranty claims upon request.
5.3. Returns and Repairs
5.3.1. All warranty repairs or replacements must be conducted by the manufacturer or their authorized service centers.
5.3.2. Customers are responsible for shipping costs to return the product to the designated service center in the country of purchase origin.
5.3.3. International customers are responsible for any additional shipping, customs, or import fees associated with returning the product to the country of purchase origin.
5.4. Exclusions
5.4.1. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from accidents, misuse, abuse, improper installation, or any use not in accordance with the product's user manual.
5.4.2. Cosmetic damage that does not affect the product's performance is not covered under warranty.
5.4.3. KosherOS by SafeTelecom reserves the right to deny warranty claims if the product has been serviced by non-authorized parties.
5.5. Courtesy Services
5.5.1. At KosherOS by SafeTelecom's discretion, we may offer courtesy services to assist customers during the warranty claim process. These may include, but are not limited to:
- a. Advance replacement of the product, subject to a full MSRP deposit.
- b. Assistance with coordinating returns or repairs with the manufacturer.
5.5.2. Any courtesy services offered are subject to specific terms and conditions, which will be communicated to the customer at the time of offer.
6. Limitation of Liability
6.1. To the extent permitted by applicable law, SafeTelecom specifically disclaims any and all statutory or implied warranties, including, without limitation, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, noninfringement, all warranties against hidden or latent defects, and SafeTelecom does not warrant that the operation of any products or software covered under this limited warranty will meet your requirements, work in combination with any hardware or software applications or third party services, be uninterrupted, error-free, or without risk to, or loss of, any information, data, software or applications contained therein, or that defects in the products or software will be corrected.
6.2. Where such statutory or implied warranties cannot lawfully be disclaimed, then to the extent permitted by law, all such warranties shall be limited in duration to the duration of the express limited warranty contained herein and the remedies of repair, replacement, or refund as determined by SafeTelecom in its sole discretion shall be the exclusive remedy of the consumer.
6.3. No oral or written representations made by SafeTelecom or any seller, reseller or distributor of the products, including employees and agents thereof, shall create any additional warranty obligations, increase the scope, or otherwise modify in any manner the terms of this limited warranty.
6.4. To the extent permitted by applicable law, SafeTelecom specifically disclaims any and all liability, whether in contract, tort or under other legal theory (including negligence), for damages in excess of the purchase price of the products, or for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages of any kind, or loss of revenue or profits; loss of business; business interruption; loss of opportunity; loss of goodwill; loss of reputation; loss of, damage to, or corruption of information, data, software or applications (including any costs associated with recovering, programming, or reproducing any information, data, software or applications stored on or used with SafeTelecom products, or any failure to maintain the confidentiality of any information or data stored on the products); or other financial loss arising out of or in connection with the ability or inability to use the products or services provided under this limited warranty.
6.5. By making a claim under this limited warranty you acknowledge that you understand the above disclaimers of liability.
6.6. Some states or jurisdictions do not allow the limitation or exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, or the exclusion or limitation on the length of an implied warranty, or the limitation or exclusion of damages for personal injuries caused by negligence, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state or jurisdiction.
6.7. KosherOS by SafeTelecom's liability is limited to the original purchase price of the product.
6.8. KosherOS by SafeTelecom is not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the product.
7. Customer Responsibilities
7.1. Customers are responsible for backing up any data stored on the product before sending it for warranty service.
7.2. Customers should retain proof of purchase and all original packaging materials, which may be required for warranty claims.
8. Policy Changes
8.1. SafeTelecom and KosherOS by SafeTelecom reserve the right to update or modify this warranty policy at any time without prior notice.
8.2. The warranty policy in effect at the time of purchase will apply to the product.
By purchasing from SafeTelecom or KosherOS by SafeTelecom, customers agree to the terms and conditions outlined in this warranty policy and terms of service.
